Trawden represents a unique village in the heart of Lancashire where the locall community help to run the community centre, shop, library, and jointly own the local pub, The Trawden Arms.

During March and April 2023 two other businesses opened in the village. 

Jackie & Francesca's Old Rock Cafe & Cake Shop, serving fresh food, cake and beverages along with the reopening of The Old Rock Home & Gift Shop, which are both positioned at the bottom of Keighley Road (Rock Lane). Both businesses are open Wednesday to Sunday. Cafe 9am - 3pm, and The Gift shop 10am - 4pm.
